We are very excited to have a special guest this week, Dan Brereton!
Writer and artist of Nocturnals and painter on The Psycho, DC’s Batgirl and Robin ThrillKiller, and hundreds of other comics. He is a legend.
We talk with him about his career, San Diego Comics Con, and his current Kickstarter campaign…

We then focus on his new comic in the continuing series of The Nocturnals called Nocturnals: Sinister Path.
Dan gives us a a quick recap of the new comics and then Jon and I review the story. We go over story elements and compare it to other greats works of art like L A Confidential and Leon The Professional.
We both think that this book is great and deserves your attention. If you cannot get to a comic shop, you can pick it up Comixology (along with the other Nocturnal titles).

Things that I took away:
- The correct way to pronounce his last name.
- Dan Brereton has been going to the San Diego Comic Con for 30 years, not 29.
- The great Frank Franzetta passed away in 2010 and for some reason, I thought he was still alive and painting.
- I called Doc Horror by the name Doc Hammer. Doc Hammer is actually the co-creator of the Venture Bros, not one of the characters in Nocturnals.
This podcast was a blast and we had a great time with Dan Brereton. We to hope to have Dan back in the near future for other podcast projects.
