CM Podcast 93 – Disappointing Comics

Has this ever happened to you: There is a major announcement about a writer/artist/character that really excites you but when you get the final product and finish reading it, you are left wanting?

Well, it has happened to Jon and myself a few times.  This week, we recount 3 comics that we were psyched about reading but at the end of the day, we were disappointed.

Jon will cover 2 miniseries and I will do 1.  Here are the books we will be talking about:

From left to right:

  • Death of Wolverine
  • Final Crisis
  • Wolverine: Origin

Why did these comics that had all the right ingredients turn out so badly?  We will give you the answers.

We will be back next week with a review of the movie, Logan.

CM Podcast 88 – Wanted

Time to go back to the past again.  This time, we will be reviewing the comic and movie by the same name: Wanted.

The comic was written by Mark Millar with art by J.G. Jones and it came out in 20003.  The movie came out 5 years later on  06.27.08.

Jon and I do a quick recap of the movie and then opine on what we thought of it compared to the comic miniseries.

You will also learn of the “Does it have a loom in it?” question that you can ask on judging the quality of a movie.

Great fun was had recording this one.
