There is a show that you may be familiar with…
A show that is celebrating it’s
25th anniversary this year in 2017…
That show is the totally awesome,
Batman: The Animated Series…
Jon and I recently came across the show bible and read a few passages and then started to reminisce about the show. Since it’s the 25th anniversary, we could not think of a better time to talk about this ground breaking show and it’s vision of Batman.
Join us as we reflect upon the show and characters and compare it to today’s movies.

We survived another year of podcasting and it’s time to hand out Hazies for the best and worst things that have happened in the comic book industry this year.
It’s the 2016 Hazies Awards*
*Not actual Hazie Award. Just some image I found on the internet.
We were able to get through the first half of this year in this podcast. Give a listen and see who won what in the
2nd Annual Hazies Awards!

Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice movie came out and we saw it and have much to discuss about it.
We start the conversation of by talking about what comics we believe inspired the overall story of this movie. Here are the comics we saw in this movie:
Clockwise from upper left: Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Superman: The Death of Superman, Trinity, JLA – Rock of Ages story arc and Superman vs Batman: Public Enemies.
We spend a few minutes going over these comics and their influences (intentionally or subconsciously) in the movie.
After that, it’s all spoilers and no holds barred deathmatch deconstruction of the movie itself…
Jon and I give our opinions of the movie and then jump right into going over the plot and (lack of ) motivation for the characters. There are laughs and deep philosophical debates.
See the movie for yourself and you be the judge.

Bonus – I found this video of Kevin Smith reviewing 1 comics in the JLA: Rock of Ages story arc and thought it was pretty good and relevant to this podcast:
