It’s the beginning of the Summer Movie push. Captain America: Civil War came out and was spectacular. The next major comic franchise is X-men Apocalypse and it is…good? Good. It’s good. I can confidently say it is a good movie.
Why is it good and not great? Well, we review the pros and cons of the movie in the podcast. We also give a quick history of Apocalypse in the Marvel Comic Universe and is he the same character in the Fox Movie Universe.

In order for Jon and myself to give you an informed opinion about the movie and why we only think it’s good, we have to talk about the plot and characters so this is your warning. There are many spoilers in this podcast.
It’s another trip back in the Comics Misremembered time machine. Next stop, 1995 – Grunge rock is king, flannel is what you are wearing and you are super interested in the upcoming Marvel Event: Age of Apocalypse.
It’s the summer time so that means Marvel is putting together another mutant crossover event that will run through the summer months and into fall. Marvel has been doing this for years up to this point and the events have been decent. This new one, Age of Apocalypse seems different though since it starts with the cancellation of all the current 1995 roster of mutant books. What??!
